Tropical Sashiko Sampler

This workshop is based on a new quilt featuring 9 appliqued tropical flowers combined with sashiko foliage and geometric designs. These blocks can be used to make a quilt, or individually for wall hangings, pillow tops, or handbags.

Learn traditional Japanese sashiko techniques and how to use sashiko as surface embellishment. Three applique methods will be demonstrated: needle-turn, paper-pieced, and iron over heat resistant Templar. Learn design transfer, and invisible applique techniques.
